This is a work Stephen Pascher did with the British cultural critic Dick Hebdige. It was originally done on super 8mm, then transferred and dubbed to VHS NTSC. It we shot last summer in New Mexico in Santa Fe and outside of Albuquerque. It was most recently shown in n exhibition entitled HOT RRROD at the Forum Stadtpark in Graz Austria, Originally it was part of an exhibition called AN EXHIBITION NEXT DOOR last July in Los Angeles.

Zolta is a pioneer of an otherworld, a space that allows for infinite expansion. She has named this space, Zephyr Layer#9, a site for dwelling, exploration and visual thinking. Zolta is a cyberspace explorer and an observer of a new space, who records images to communicate to others upon her return.

INHERITED MEMORIES fuses the anesthetics of painting with the illusion of movement through modulation space. The imagery alludes to real places, but the spatial tension comes from an abstract painter's play of color contrasts and decorative patterns.
